We are starting the first holy communion season.

Communion veil

Ohhh I love the new year.

Not only are there lots of lovely brides looking for wedding veils, it is the start of the first communion season.

I can make lots of different styles of veils and basically they are mini versions of wedding veils.

The mantilla style lace veils are really popular, and recently I have had orders for single layer communion veils and also veils in ivory instead of the white tulle that everyone used to want.

Mantilla style lace communion veil

The lace on the photo above is the "Mairi" corded lace mantilla style veil.

It comes with the comb attached along the lace ready to positio into the hair whereevr you want it.

This veil also alleviates the need for a headpiece??

So we are here, January 2022. I thought 2020 was a disater for the wedding industry, but for me 2021 was the worst. I think couples were so weary of booking & cancelling that they either decided to get married without any ceremony or completely postpone until the pandemic is over. So far these first weeks of 2022 are looking good for me (AT LONG LAST) Ive had orders and even a consultation. However if these past 2 years are anything to go by I am not getting my hopes up. I LOVE making veils and I have been lost without them. Anyway less of the gloom and doom, here's to the new year, may we be like my bride above, Dorothea, getting married on a sundrenched beach, together with our families, happy, warm amd smiling. Happy New Year xxx
