The 36", 48", 54" and 72" veils are circular. The 108" and larger veils are oval with a width of 3mts or 117"

A veil usually has a portion about 22"-25" from the end, which is folded over and gathered onto a comb. This shorter portion can fold back over the face to make the blusher. The face is then covered to enter the wedding ceremony. This practice dates back to times of old when some say the bride and her attendants had veils to cover their faces so that evil spirits wouldn't know which was the lady to be married, so thwarting any curses that could be put upon her! The groom stands to the right to receive his bride to enable him to accept her on his left arm, so keeping his right hand free to brandish his sword should the need arrise!! Such Chivalry !!

A double veil is one which is folded in half and gathered onto a comb, nothing is brought over the face, all the veil hangs down the back. These veils are really attractive worn low down on the back of the head, tucked under upswept hair. For an example see the photo of Davinia below.

All my veils are named

"Classic" - Plain cut edge                                       "Rachel" - Fine stitched edg              "Sara" - Satin bound.                                              "Kate" wired edged veil

"Penny" - Swarovski Banded edge         "Maddie" Swarovski Crystal Drop addition

The "Emma" veil is made from silk tulle and can have all the above edges.

All the veils can be adorned with Swarovski crystals.

Attaching to the comb - To gather or not to gather
The veil can be attached to the comb according to the way you would like your veil to look. Just let me know which look you want.

 Colours

Your veil does not have to be white or ivory. Tulle can be sourced in many colours, below is a photograph of Davinia wearing her gold veil. It is a 5 mtr double veil (so giving length of 2 and half meters) completely gathered onto a comb and worn on the back of her head.
